Support Trevarthian Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Trevarthian Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will help combat climate change and improve the UK’s energy security by generating clean, renewable energy. This development would create enough renewable energy to meet the annual electricity demands of approximately 4,345 homes. This development would offset approximately 3,203 tonnes of CO2 each year, which is the equivalent of taking around 1,721 cars off the road.

The battery storage facility will supply electricity to the electricity network at times of peak energy demand. This will ensure the renewable energy output of the solar farm is a secure and reliable part of the UK energy supply, helping Britain achieve energy independence.
